A postpartum doula is someone trained to care for you and your family at home during your transition from birth onward. We nurture you as you find your way, supporting you with services such as lactation counseling, cooking meals, doing household chores, caring for siblings, running errands, and holding baby so that you can rest and rejuvenate.
Lactation Counseling
As a CLC, I provide lactation counseling in the comfort of your home, including weigh-feed-weighs, to address breastfeeding issues.
"Many experience the sense that they are failing to live up to what any mother should be able to do easily and spontaneously. Thinking that mothering is natural and therefore should come naturally, many mothers forget that it is not natural to be a mother in isolation. They may forget that in past generations, extended family and close community ties meant that women with young children had a great deal of help." Aviva Romm, Natural Health After Birth
